Do you know that NCC dates back to 1905 when Raffles institution first started it?
MY EXPERIENCE IN SPECIALISTS COURSE
Day 1
Firstly all 8 cadets met at cbss to wait for bus..
I was preparing myself in case i was alone in a platoon..
There was sure someone to be left out..
Then all (Jason,Marcus,Edmund,Kelvin,Rijwan,Chunyi,haresh and i) got on the bus
ALL set to go to amoy quee camp then later moved on to SISPEC pasir laba camp.
Reached there and i found out that i was in platoon 2 ,jason was in platoon 1
Kelvin was in platoon 3 and all three of us were in the ALPHA company.
The rest was from BRAVO company.Marcus was alone in a platoon
edmund paired up with chunyi and rijwan paired up with haresh.(pairing up of cadets was chose randomly)
Each platoon had at least 45 cadets.
Reached pasir laba camp and got into our individual platoons.
Make some new frens very few in the first day.Got to know my PC and APC.
which means Platoon commander and Assistant platoon commander
PC Aminah and APC zhi yoong.
I was put into Bunk A and there were 11 other cadets sleeping in the same bunk.
The bunk was quite comfortable compared to amoy quee's one.
Then we got to play some guns which were simulated (simpler form)computerised.
They were the metador, m2-o3 and the last one i have forgotten.
Have to wake up early as i and other cadets have to fall in at 5.30am the next day
Ohya i got caught for long fringe that is why my fringe looks weird if u have seen me.
Jialat have to cut and seriously i am a bad barber i cut my own hair until kiamcai.
Day 2
Had morning physical training and it was damn shiok!
Changed into NO.4 uniform and had IFC(individual field craft) and Trainfire revisions.
Overall was okay but was sleepy haha.
Then later on had IFC test it was okay average average.
Then after the test those finish must go into another room
I was freakin tired and slept on my bed but legs with boots were on the floor,body on bed.(Can't dirty the bed)
Damn uncomfortable but bobian.
I was halfway asleep then suddenly the Land District Commander came in i was like shocked!
One guy from catholic high and another from ahmad ibrahim sec was caught sleeping on their beds.They had their bodies totally on the bed with their boots on...and almost got out of course..
So scary...haha lucky me cos i kept my feet on the ground so i didn't get caught.
That was pretty much for the 2nd day.Let's move on shall we?
Day 3
Woke up at 4 plus again damn it man someone's alarm clock kept ringing for 10 mins freaking loud and noisy and he didn't even off it...he must be a heavy sleeper...haha
and i found the culprit on that day Zuhairi !
We had morning physical training again..haha
i pretty made alot of frens..which were Jun ming,Zuhairi,Ivan,brandon,joel,jin ming,gordon,Janus and Nassim from all different schools and many more...
Then after that went to singapore discovery centre to do like a small amazing race..
Had alot of fun haha pretty interesting too..
Clt Zheng hui was damn funny tellin his experiences for offield camp and ghost stories.
That afternoon we had Trainfire test i did ok overall but some mistakes too..
On that night we had GSK(General specialists knowledge) test.
Then we wrap it up for that night and when back to our bunks to sleep.
Day 4
Lol on that night suddenly wake up because very cold suddenly rain..
Thus we had no morning physical training.
Woohoo kinda happy can sleep more Muahaha.Bear with me gonna end the story already...
Hey i spent like more than 2 hours on this post(gusiness world record) so bear with me gonna end soon.
Then afternoon, we went for army recruitment talk and leadership talk.
It was quite interesting though i thought it was gonna be quite dull.
There was two guys whom were irritating and jason sat behind me cos not enough space.
An incident funny happened sia there was one guy sleeping and when a CLT ask 'eh are you asleep or not' two times he replied 'ya' without knowing who was talking to him but when he was awoken he looked and ya very funny his face expression la..
Last part have to clean toilets damn sian but the District commander said so,so must obey.We also cleaned our bunks even the dust have to be cleared haha.
Then after that we gotten our ranks formerly and watched the outstanding cadets get awards..
After that, fall in in our schools.
Then those who had school bus were lucky the rest had to walked back to the mrt station as there was no service or shutter bus...
Thus Chong boon cadets and the others cadets from other schools had to marched to the mrt station which was like i think 3 or 4 km but was fun la there was song too.. ahaha
